Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes

Melbourne CBD | 2-3 Days Office | Permanent | $165k to $185k plus super

Frazer Tremble is exclusively partnering with a global technology business in the education sector to appoint a Senior DevOps Engineer into a newly created APAC role.

This is not a narrow DevOps support role. It is a hands-on platform build role with genuine ownership across AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD and solution design.

You will be the first dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer in APAC, working closely with engineering, SRE, architecture, security and an established global DevOps function.

The work will focus on building scalable cloud platforms, improving automation, supporting SaaS migration work and helping shape how DevOps is delivered across the region.

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Deep Terraform experience, including modules, state and reusable patterns.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Strong CI/CD experience, ideally GitLab, GitOps or similar.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, automation, security and reliability.
• The ability to design from a blank page and explain technical trade-offs.
• Confidence working autonomously and partnering with stakeholders.

This would suit a Senior DevOps Engineer, Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Platform Engineer, Senior Cloud Engineer or SRE with strong platform build experience.
