Frazer Tremble has been engaged by a respected Managed Service Provider to build their team and resource a Senior Project Manager. Working client side, this engaging role will see you manage a large-scale multiyear project inclusive of resources and external vendor partners.

The role will see you ensure the successful end to end delivery of related solutions. You will achieve this by developing, maintaining, and leading project teams, both internally and with third party vendors if required.
  
About the role:
  
This role will require you to manage the project team’s delivery outputs, achieve project milestones and proactively manage the challenges, risk and issues that arise within the project lifecycle without de-railing the project and under the agreed governance controls as set within the PMO.
  
You will also need to share your knowledge and skills with other members of the team, and to contribute to improving the governance of the PMO. The success of this approach will ensure future collaboration opportunities with customers and service providers through standardized processes, improved quality assurance, cost tracking, scope management and project delivery practices.
  
Duties will include (but not limited to) the following:
  • Strength and ability to successfully deliver large and complex projects with customer references, using Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
  • Identify scope and manage changes to initial project specifications on both the customer and organisational side, reporting any changes or impact to stakeholders proactively
  • Accurately track and report project financials including the management of project Profit & Loss, project budgets and commercials
  • Manage concurrent projects from start to finish and seamless transition to support in line with the PMO governance processes.
  • Efficiently carry out resource allocations with appropriate risk assessments and sustainability measures in mind
  • Create, impact and drive results for project delivery by continually applying your business acumen and commercial lens throughout the SDLC.
  • Engage and lead the project teams and key stakeholders to enhance input from individuals and ensure that the project plans are being adhered to
  • Use a consultative approach to build effective relationships and enhance stakeholder engagement.
  • Operate with a strong customer focus and emphasis on responsiveness to meet client needs in day-to-day actions (both internal and external stakeholders)
  • Proactively Identify, report, and mitigate risks and issues by keeping abreast of all current developments and emerging trends.
  • Support and mentor members of the team in developing their project delivery skills and expertise.
  • Actively contribute to the PMO best practices and process improvement focus by championing that improvement focus.
Skills & Experience:
  • Tertiary level qualification in Business, IT, Computer Science, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in vendor-side Project Management for the delivery of complex Software related development projects, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • PMI or PMP or Prince2 certification
  • Effective leadership skills and influencing and negotiating ability.
  • Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management
  • Excellent listening, questioning and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to communicate issues and resolutions clearly.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day progress of key deliverables and stakeholder inputs.
  • Strong analytical, business, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and conflict resolution skills
  • SCRUM Master or similar Agile certification.
  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including continuous improvement and continuous development (CI/CD) focus.
  • Sound understanding of Project Controls, Governance, Delivery Assurance and Quality Management
  • Experience with or understanding of DevOps and/or SAFe Agile principles.
  • Expectation setting and prioritisation skills to manage multiple requests and stakeholders.
  • Consulting skills, ability to leverage business and commercial acumen to nurture client relationships.
