Change Manager
Change Manager contract leading payroll & ERP transformation. Drive adoption, readiness & stakeholder engagement in a hybrid local government role.

- 3 month extendable day-rate contract | Immediate start | South-East
This role requires someone who can step in immediately, quickly assess existing change activity, and confidently determine priorities, risks, and next steps to maintain momentum.
Working closely with the Coordinator PMO and Change, executive sponsors, and project teams, you will focus on practical execution, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and sustainment, ensuring successful transition and ongoing embedding of change outcomes.
About the role:
- Rapidly assess existing payroll change activities, identify gaps, risks, and immediate priorities
- Deliver end-to-end change management activities across payroll and ERP initiatives
- Develop and execute communication, engagement, and readiness strategies
- Conduct change impact assessments and readiness evaluations
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, briefings, and engagement sessions with senior leaders
- Drive adoption, behavioural change, and reinforcement activities post go-live
- Identify and manage risks, issues, resistance, and adoption barriers
- Support ERP sustainment and HyperCare activities where required
- Contribute to program-level change planning across emerging initiatives
- Work closely with PMO, project teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery integration
- Proven experience as a Change Manager delivering complex business or technology transformation programs
- Strong preference for payroll system, payroll process, or HRIS-related change experience
- Experience stepping into in-flight programs and quickly establishing control, clarity, and momentum
- Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and executive interaction
- Experience delivering change impact assessments, readiness activities, and adoption strategies
- Ability to operate confidently in politically sensitive and complex organisational environments
- Strong workshop facilitation and communication skills
- Experience with ERP programs and enterprise system change (highly regarded)
- Prosci Change Management methodology experience (desirable)
