Procurement Lead
Lead procurement uplift as finance transformation nears go-live. Build process, governance and Source-to-Pay capability in a key contract role.

With the organisation’s finance transformation into Workday nearing go-live, procurement is now the next strategic focus area. This role will play a key part in shaping how procurement operates moving forward - improving processes, introducing stronger governance, and building the foundations for a more mature, efficient, and commercially focused function.
This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who can step into a developing environment, assess current state capability, and implement practical, fit-for-purpose improvements that deliver immediate and long-term value.
What you’ll be doing
- Review current procurement processes, controls, and operating model
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for uplift
- Build fit-for-purpose procurement frameworks and governance
- Improve contract visibility, management, and central repository practices
- Support Source-to-Pay process optimisation, aligned to the broader Workday environment
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across finance, operations, and the wider business
- Drive practical change outcomes in a complex environment
- Establish building blocks for long-term procurement maturity
- Strong background in procurement leadership, transformation, or commercial uplift
- Experience improving low-maturity procurement functions
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes
- Experience working within or alongside ERP environments such as Workday highly regarded
- Exposure to contract lifecycle management tools such as Evisort is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to operate strategically and hands-on
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading change
- Initial 6 month contract with potential extension
- Melbourne-based role with hybrid flexibility
